Number of non-alliance Pacific Ocean carriers has doubled

The major container alliances’ market share on the Pacific Ocean is decreasing, as the number of shipping lines outside alliances on the stretch has doubled since the same period last year, writes Sea-Intelligence.

A growing number of carriers on the red-hot stretch from Asia to the US west coast are not part of the major container alliances, informs analyst firm Sea-Intelligence, which has examined the development in the alliances’ market share.
