New chair at Maersk: Uggla must uphold family legacy in a world in crisis

Robert Mærsk Uggla, who takes over as Maersk chair Tuesday, will have to look out for conflicts of interest, and the Ukraine crisis will be his first test as chair, says professor. Pension provider KLP has assessed the board’s independence.

It will be a very special day – even historical, some might say – when 500 shareholders Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. CET take their seats at the annual general meeting at Maersk’s headquarters in Copenhagen.
