Spot rates for container freight above contract market on all routes but one
Recent weeks’ drop in spot rates for container freight has so far not shown the same trend in rates on the contract market. Spot rates are significantly higher, says Xeneta Chief Analyst Peter Sand.
Spot rates for container freight are still significantly higher than contract rates, even though the past nine weeks have seen a decline in the spot market.
