CEOs deem gloomy container scenario too pessimistic – but not impossible

Is there no hope of container market conditions approaching normalization until early 2024, as outlined by McKinsey? This scenario is too pessimistic, assess a number of executives on the container market – however, it’s not unthinkable if supply chains are hit by additional unforeseen obstacles.

In a worst-case scenario, the container market will not begin to normalize until sometime in 2024, predicts a new report by McKinsey. The consultancy suggests it may take longer than previously thought for bottlenecks and freight rates to approach less extreme levels than today.
