Strong container and dry bulk rates have Costamare's profit soaring

Greek shipowner Costamare managed close to double its earnings in the first three months of 2021 compared to the same period last year. The company continues to see strong trends within container and dry bulk.

The red-hot container and dry bulk markets have provided shipowner Costamare with nearly a doubling of its profit in the first quarter.

The Greek company reports net earnings of USD 123m in the first three months of the year against USD 68.1m in the same period last year, according to the Q1 interim report.
