
Analysts predict that Maersk, which last year saw record earnings and has projected new record profit in 2022, may have to present an upgrade to the financial expectations due to the still strained supply chains and high freight rates, according to Danish business media Børsen.
”Xeneta’s data reveal that the price on long contracts, where Maersk has been very aggressive, is increasing vigorously. An upward adjustment lies ahead, no question about that,” says Peter Sand, chief analyst at Xeneta, which conducts analyses based on freight market data.
