Maersk: Situation in Shanghai is stabilizing

The situation is stabilizing in Shanghai, and overall the ports in China are working well, states Maersk. On the other hand, the carrier reports of heavy pressure in European ports.

Normalization is slowly approaching in the ports of Shanghai after the last two months of extensive Covid lockdowns in China, states Maersk in an update Wednesday.

”The situation in Shanghai is stabilizing and in general the ports in China are working well – however we continue looking for options that can give us flexibility in our overall network to increase reliability for our customers,” says Maersk Head of Asia Pacific Ocean Customer Logistics Anne-Sophie Zerlang Karlsen.
