First, Maersk was given a fine for having failed to report a serious case to US authorities regarding presumed sexual offences against a deck cadet aboard Maersk vessel Idaho in 2014 and 2015.
Since, Maersk appealed the fine issued by the US Coast Guard, and the appeal was accepted.
