Hapag-Lloyd far more valuable than Maersk on stock exchange

In the first half of 2022, Hapag-Lloyd has overtaken Maersk in stock value, even though the German liner company is less than half the size of its rival in terms of capacity and ships. However, the reason is not very exciting, says analyst.

German company Hapag-Lloyd, the world’s fifth-largest container line, has not only caught up with but even overtaken ”big brother” Maersk in the first six months of the year in terms of the companies’ stock value, according to Danish bank Sydbank.
