Hapag-Lloyd more than tripled its profit in H1

German container line Hapag-Lloyd tripled its net profit in the first half-year, with the operating result landing at EUR 10bn, according to the H1 interim report.

Hapag-Lloyd has landed a ”very good result” in the first half of 2022, the German carrier writes in its H1 interim report.

Behind the somewhat modest statement lies an operating result (EBITDA) of EUR 10bn for the year’s first half. Net profit came to EUR 8.6bn, more than a tripling compared to 2021’s net profit of EUR 2.7bn.
