Søren Skou counters tax criticism: Maersk is no parasite
In an opinion piece in Danish newspaper Politiken, Maersk’s CEO counters criticism posed by an associate professor at Copenhagen Business School, who criticized Maersk for parasitizing Danish society on account of the carrier’s modest tax payments via the country’s special tax scheme for shipping companies.
Maersk is not a parasite on Danish society, says the container shipping company’s CEO Søren Skou in response to criticism from associate professor at Copenhagen Business School (CBS) Christoph Houman Ellersgaard.
