Maersk supports MSC's critique: Climate regulation should make sense and be enforceable

CII: Maersk CEO Søren Skou: ”We agree with MSC that the rules must make sense, of course, because anything else would be silly. The rules must ensure that we spend less fuel.” Alliance partner MSC wants the calculation methods of CII changed.

Maersk voices its support for MSC, the carrier’s partner in the 2M alliance and especially critical toward the International Maritime Organization’s forthcoming Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII) climate scheme.
