US shipper highly displeased with Maersk in new complaint to FMC

A furniture importer levels sharp criticism at Maersk carrier Hamburg Süd, demanding huge compensation. The case is one of several filed with the US maritime authority. Updated.

US furniture importer OJ Commerce (OJC) has filed a complaint to the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) about Maersk subsidiary Hamburg Süd, which is accused of contract violation, retaliation and manipulation of the container market.
