Leading shipping group CMA CGM completes an organizational overhaul with appointment of a new chief financial officer.

Henceforth, Ramon Fernandez is charged with running the financials of the group and its subsidiaries, including logistics operator Ceva Logistics.

The new CFO succeeds Michael Sirat, who in turn will become head of ”the family office” at the French Saadé family-owned carrier, reads an official statement from CMA CGM.

Fernandez and Sirat are to take up their new positions at the start of the second quarter next year.

Main competitor Maersk also announced big changes to upper level management recently, when Søren Skou revealed his resignation on Monday last week. By the turn of the year, he is to be replaced by Vincent Clerc at the helm of the Danish company.
