Major carriers to save billions by digitalizing freight documents

Nine leading container carriers commit to digitalizing physical freight documents after a certain standard procedure by 2030 at the latest. Billions of dollars can be saved, according to the parties.

Maersk, MSC, Hapag-Lloyd, CMA CGM, ONE and four other carriers that usually compete with each other are now joining forces to digitalize physical freight documents, so-called bills of lading.
