Container carriers' operating earnings exceed USD 91 billion in 2022

The abnormal compiled operating results do not cover all of the largest carriers, some which haven’t yet published results, Sea-Intelligence writes.

The upswing in the container market in the first half-year of 2022 sent the summed operating earnings before interests and taxes (EBIT) from carriers up to USD 95bn, however, the actual figure is expected to be much greater.
