The container market reached bottom and now sees spot rate growth

Unexpected growth in Chinese export helps turn the tide after months of decreases in the box market, sending spot rates back upwards, HSBC estimates.

After numerous months of freefalling container rates, the market not only reached rock bottom; it now seems to be heading back up, estimates major bank HSBC, following growth in container rates and an unusually strong progress in Chinese exports.
