Long-term container contract rates hit two-year low

A two-year low for long-term rates comes at the same time as the largest number of container ships ever, measured in teu, was delivered in June. 40 ships with space for 300,000 containers.

Container researcher Xeneta says that July has seen another significant drop in long-term rates for the global shipping industry.
