Another exec leaves Hamburg Süd and the era of the red ships

A commercial director at the German container line, which is being swallowed up by Maersk, steps down after 20 years. He follows in the footsteps of other senior executives.

Thursday was commercial director Simon Gardiner’s last workday at Hamburg Süd after 20 years with the major German container line, which Maersk acquired in 2017, according to a Linkedin post.
