Report: Exemption has created distrust in shipping companies

The perception that shipping companies are under less scrutiny than other sectors needs to be changed, the European Commission writes in report.

Favorable treatment of liner companies has sowed distrust in the shipping industry, following the explosive rise in rates during the corona crisis, says the European Commission in a new report.
