Maersk taps yard for first green retrofit of older container ship

A Chinese shipyard will install MAN’s methanol engines on the Maersk Halifax from summer 2024. Ten ships could follow.

Maersk has found the shipyard that will be responsible for retrofitting an older ship to run on the alternative fuel methanol.
