Far more container ships were scrapped in 2023

The number of container ships being scrapped seems to be on the rise again after several slow years. This is good news for an industry vast overcapacity.

2023 was the year when the number of container ships sent for scrapping finally jumped back to pre-pandemic levels, analytics firm Alphaliner reports.
