Wage dispute leaves 54,000 containers stranded in Australia

A wage dispute between DP World and Australian dockworkers means so much freight has accumulated that it could take up to six weeks to clear.

A months-long dispute between the Maritime Union of Australia division CFMMEU and port operator DP World has resulted in work stoppages and huge amounts of stranded cargo.
