Habben Jansen sticks to ports but gets Maersk's interest in DB Schenker

It is ”quite logical” that Maersk is interested in buying the logistics group DB Schenker, says the Hapag-Lloyd boss, who, however, focuses on container shipping and the purchase of port terminals.

Hapag-Lloyd and Maersk are heading towards close co-operation in their new partnership Gemini Cooperation, which will come into force in less than a year, but the two shipping lines will continue to pursue their own strategic paths.
