Liner majors bolstered by longer voyages and crowded ports

The attacks on ships in the Red Sea have set off a domino effect, which on Monday made Maersk upgrade its full-year profit guidance.

Monday’s upward revision from Maersk could be the first in a wave of raised earnings forecasts from listed container lines benefiting from congestion in several major ports and disruption to shipping in the Red Sea.
