Russia and China join forces to establish Arctic fleet

With their new collaboration, the two countries plan to build up to five ships in the first phase of the project.

Russia’s state nuclear agency Rosatom and Chinese shipping company Hainan Yangpu Newnew Shipping have teamed up to create an active fleet that can sail the Northeast Passage year-round, according to Russian news agency Interfax.
