Maersk is 500 containers short after storm

The total number of missing containers, blown overboard Friday on the Svendborg Maersk, has now been determined. 520 containers were missing from deck.

When the sun broke out in Malaga on Tuesday morning, Maersk employees were able to board the around 8,200 teu container ship Svendborg Maersk. After a close count they were able to conclude that the loss of containers in the massive storm Svendborg Maersk passed through on Friday far surpassed the 200-300 that were originally deemed missing.
