UASC exercises options for sixth ultra-large ship

United Arab Shipping Company (UASC) has exercised an option for its sixth 18,000 teu container ship from Hyundai Heavy Industries, where the carrier now has a total of 17 newbuildings in order.

Dubai-based UASC wants even more ultra-large ships in its fleet, and the carrier is now exercising an option for a sixth, and thus last, 18,000 teu container ship from HHI, says UASC in a press release.
