Container rates on Asia - Europe dive 10 percent

Container rates on Asia - Europe declined 10 percent in the past week, down to USD 888 per teu, while Asia - US West Coast was boosted by a partially successful GRI, says Platou.

The key tradelane betwen Asia and Northern Europe experienced a decline of USD 100 in the past week, corresponding to 10 percent, down to USD 888 per twenty-foot container (teu), says Norwegian analyst Platou, referring to the Shanghai Container Index (SCFI).
