SeaIntel: Rate increases every other month in 2015
Rate increases of up to USD 1,000 every other month on the large deep-sea container services will be the norm throughout 2015, in order for shipowners to keep up with the declining levels, which have impacted them over the past six years, according to SeaIntel.

The container carriers' customers, the shippers, can prepare for announcements of general rate increases at levels of USD 800-1,000 per teu, every other month, throughout 2015 - or even larger and more frequent increases, if the rates on Asia-Europe continue to crumble.
