Seaspan's first quarter this year showed advancements for the world's largest provider of container tonnage, which is Canadian-owned and listed in New York.
In April, the company confirms, Seaspan ordered seven newbuildings of which five of a total price of 467.5 million USD are 11,000 TEU vessels to be delivered in 2017, all of them already on long term contracts of 17 years. The ships will be built at Hanjin Heavy Industries Corporation Philippines.
