CMA CGM quadruples its first quarter result

French CMA CGM follows on the heels of Maersk Line by delivering a significantly improved net result, a development not least attributed to increased efficiency and the decline in bunker prices.

The world's third-largest container carrier, France's CMA CGM, achieved a result of around USD 400 million in the first quarter 2015, compared to a profit of almost USD 100 million in the same quarter 2014, according to the carrier's interim report.
