Unifeeder affected by severe competition in North Europe

Even though Danish-based carrier Unifeeder delivered a net profit of USD 32.5 million in 2014, this still represents the carrier's lowest result since 2010. Management points to tough competition and a slowdown in Russia.

Severe competition in the North European container market has directly impacted Unifeeder, which in 2014 was forced to announce a decline in both revenue and the result.

In spite of landing a net profit after taxes of almost USD 32.5 million, this marks the lowest result since 2010 for the Danish-based feeder and short sea carrier, which in total transported more containers in 2014 than in the previous year. This development reflects declined rates.
