Maersk order for new mega-vessels draws near

According to Lloyd's List, six new vessels have been registered at the Daewoo yard in South Korea for delivery in 2017 under Danish flag and the Danish carrier's name.

It will likely not be long before the Maersk Group can reveal an order for its largest container ships yet, if the most recent information from Lloyd's List holds true.

According to the shipping media's data unit, Lloyd's List Intelligence, six new vessels have been registered for delivery in 2017 under the Danish carrier's name - as well as under Danish flag - complete with hull numbers issued by the IMO, which is the UN agency for shipping.
