Maersk exec: Container mergers herald new era

Three major players in the container industry, and one slightly smaller player were combined last week into two very large players, and this could contribute to professionalizing the industry, Vincent Clerc, Chief Trade & Marketing Officer at Maersk Line, tells Danish newspaper Berlingske. He points to the idea that the mergers will thereby benefit the customers in ways such as lower prices.
