Five container behemoths to dominate the global market

Maersk Line and four other container carriers will control more than half of the container market by late 2016, notes Alphaliner. But 2016 will be another thriller.

In about one year, five carriers will control more than 50 percent of the global container market, projects Alphaliner after the five same carriers in early 2015 joined forces in two major alliances on the East-West trade from the Far East.
