Four carriers confirm new giant container alliance

CMA CGM, China Cosco Shipping, Evergreen Line and OOCL on Wednesday announced that they have signed a memorandum of understanding to form a new major container alliance, Ocean Alliance. This has been described as a formidable collaboration and a serious challenger to the 2M alliance between Maersk Line and MSC.
