New major alliance will set sail in 2017

The new container cooperation Ocean Alliance will unfold its network of 350 container ships in March of 2017. Until then, two of the partners will remain in their current alliance, informs CKYHE.

It will be a little less than one year before the new major alliance Ocean Alliance can get the collaboration up and running. This is reflected in an update from the CKYHE alliance, which stands to lose two members, namely Evergreen and Cosco.

Last week, the two players teamed up with OOCL and CMA CGM with the new Ocean Alliance, which will definitively uproot the current alliance constellations among container carriers ranking in the top 20. In an update from the CKYHE alliance, the parties confirm their existing cooperation on the services between East and West until the end of March 2017. After that, Evergreen and Cosco are free to enter the new alliance.
