Hanjin Shipping, South Korea's largest and the world's seventh-largest container carrier, went into court receivership on August 31st 2016.

The container carrier has piled up an enormous debt in the current all-time low container market, and since May of this year Hanjin has been in negotiations with creditors, shareholders and shipowners in order to find a solution to the massive debt problems.
