Rickmers clashes with bondholders over rescue plan

A group of bondholders demand immediate repayment of their stakes while threatening legal action against the listed container company Rickmers Maritime in Singapore.

A group of bondholders in German Rickmers' listed Singapore company Rickmers Maritime, which owns 16 container ships, is demanding immediate repayment of their share in a bond loan of 100 million Singapore dollars or USD 73 million, reads a letter from the law firm Rajah & Tann Singapore, which represents the bondholders, according to a corporate statement from Rickmers Maritime.
