MSC cleared to buy Hanjin Shipping's ports

Container carrier MSC has signed a deal with the Harbor Commission in Long Beach to operate Hanjin Shipping's former terminal on the US West Coast, informs the authority on its website.

MSC has now been cleared by the US port authorities to take over Hanjin Shipping's terminal in Long Beach, California.

It was announced earlier this week that MSC had made an agreement to acquire the South Korean carrier's stake in company Total Terminals International, which covers two US terminals in Long Beach and Seattle.
