Struggling Rickmers Maritime sells off more assets

Singapore-based Rickmers Maritime is selling off a new ship from its fleet to ensure the company stays afloat. This means an impairment loss in the fourth quarter 2016. The vessel is 13 years old.

Container company Rickmers Maritime has sold yet another container vessel from the fleet which currently counts 16 Panamax container vessels.

According to a press release from the carrier it has entered into an agreement to sell the vessel Kaethe C. Rickmers. Data from show that the vessel is a Panamax vessel built by Hyundai Heavy Industries in 2004.
