Maersk and Hamburg Süd must wait a long time for recovery in Brazil

Latin America's biggest economy, Brazil, which is closely tied to Maersk Line's billion-dollar acquisition of Hamburg Süd, will likely not return to pre-crisis levels before 2020.

It will take upwards of three years, or until 2020, for freight volumes in Brazil to reach the same level as before 2015 when Latin America's biggest economy collapsed, projects Maersk Line in its first quarter trade report for Brazil.
