14 South Korean container carriers, led by Hyundai Merchant Marine and others, will Tuesday sign a cooperation agreement of an unprecedented scope for the country.

South Korea's 14 container carriers will join forces in a new consortium, Korea Shipping Partnership (KSP). The cooperation is unprecedented for the country's strained shipping sector, a situation that culminated in the collapse of Hanjin Shipping in the late summer 2016.
