Norwegian shipping tycoon invests in struggling Skaugen

A well-known Norwegian investor is prepared to make a large investment in gas tanker company I. M. Skaugen. The capital injection is part of a new rehabilitation plan for the struggling company, which entails a whole new corporate structure and possibly a new name.

A Norwegian shipping magnate is prepared to invest in crisis-stricken gas tanker carrier I. M. Skaugen, which has been struggling for a long time to settle a restructuring plan.

The listed shipping company writes in an update that investment company Kistefos is prepared to invest USD 3 billion. The money will go to pay creditors and to give management time to develop a new gas project in Africa.
