Acquisition-hungry BW LPG books Q1 deficit

Profit turned into a deficit for BW LPG in the first quarter of the year. The gas tanker carrier this week made an offer to buy competitor Dorian LPG.

A weak LPG market and low fleet utilization triggered a deficit at the acquisition-hungry gas tanker shipping company BW LPG in the first quarter of the year.

A financial update to the Oslo Stock Exchange reports a deficit after taxes of USD 8.4 million for the first three months of the year, down from a profit of USD 8 million in the same period last year.
