Billion dollar merger creates new tanker giant
Diamond S and Greek-based Capital Product Partners will merge their tanker fleets in a billion dollar transaction to create one of the world's largest product and crude oil carriers.
The tanker market faces looks set to welcome another new major player with the billion dollar merger between US-based DSS Holdings, which owns product tanker carrier Diamond S, and Greece's Capital Product Partners, which with a new transaction say they will create one of the world's largest listed tanker shipping companies.
