New strategy makes owner reshuffle Uni-Tankers management

Uni-Tankers' longtime chief executive has been replaced by an interim CEO. The company is now looking for a permanent replacement to steer the carrier through a challenging tanker market, says owner Torben Østergaard-Nielsen in an interview with ShippingWatch.

A new strategy means that Torben Andersen, longtime CEO of product tanker shipping company Uni-Tankers, stepped down shortly before Christmas, explains Torben Østergaard-Nielsen, who owns the shipping company as part of the USTC group, in an interview with ShippingWatch.

"We've spent the last couple of years setting a completely new strategy plan for the carrier, and we've put a lot of resources into this. That's also the reason we've concluded that Torben Andersen will no longer be with us," he tells ShippingWatch.
