BW LPG books major fleet impairment in fourth quarter

Gas shipping company BW LPG finished the fourth quarter 2018 with a larger deficit than in the same period last year. A major fleet impairment factors heavily into the result.

BW LPG booked a large impairment on its fleet in the last three months of 2018.

Specifically, ship asset values were impaired by USD 33.5 million in the fourth quarter, and this contributed to a larger deficit than in the same period 2017, shows the gas shipping company's annual report.
