Frontline sees signs of a weaker tanker market

John Fredriksen's Frontline booked a large profit in the first quarter of the year. This happened despite the fact that the tanker market has shown signs of weakness in recent weeks, says CEO Robert Hvide Macleod.

2019 was off to a strong start for the tanker market. But in recent weeks, the market has been characterized by several trends that are detrimental to the shipping companies, notes John Fredriksen's tanker ship operator Frontline in its interim report, published Thursday.
